Emergency Use Permit for Spodovir Plus in Australia

The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) granted an Emergency Use Permit for Spodovir Plus with immediate effect for the control of Spodoptera frugiperda (Fall armyworm) for a period of three years. Fall armyworm originated in the Americas and was first detected in Africa in 2016. Since then, fall armyworm has been spreading rapidly across the African continent and found its way to Asia, where it has established in several countries within the region. In January 2020, fall armyworm has been first recorded in Australia and has spread rapidly throughout the country. Spodovir Plus is compatible with most insecticides and fungicides and can be easily integrated into any pest management program.

With Spodovir Plus Andermatt brings, together with its distributor Organic Crop Protectants (OCP), a valuable tool to Australian farmers to combat this devastating pest.
