Science-Based Targets Approved by the SBTi
We are proud to announce that the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has approved Andermatt Group AG’s near-term and long-term science-based emissions reduction targets.
This milestone underscores our commitment to ambitious climate action and aligns our sustainability strategy with the latest climate science to limit global warming to 1.5°C.
Our Targets:
Overall Net-Zero Target:
- Andermatt Group AG commits to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2050.
Near-Term Targets (by 2032, from a 2023 base year):
- Reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 50.4%*
- Reduce scope 3 GHG emissions by 58.1% per ton of sold products*
Long-Term Target (by 2050, from a 2023 base year):
- Reduce absolute scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions by 90%*
*The target boundary includes land-related emissions and removals from bioenergy feedstocks.
In line with SBTi criteria, Andermatt Group AG will prioritize direct emissions reductions (decarbonization) and all residual emissions will be neutralized (if applicable) before reaching net-zero emissions.
By setting these science-based targets, Andermatt Group AG joins a global movement of companies taking measurable, science-aligned action to combat climate change and build a sustainable future.
